With wedding season arriving, I thought this would be a good time to share some inspiration photos from my nephew and his wife’s wedding last summer.

It was a destination wedding at Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  Most of the guests traveled from California and Washington State.

 

Being the social butterflies that they are, the bride and groom made a week long celebration out of their time in Idaho.

 

The bridal party rented a huge house on the water where the groom’s parents left their boat for the bridal party’s use.  Some guests stayed in a campground in motor homes and maybe even tents, other guests stayed at the Coeur d’Alene Resort or nearby hotels.

 

On the day of the wedding, guests met at the Coeur d’Alene Resort and took a ferry to the wedding venue.

 

There were many parties before and after the wedding.  The week of celebrations ended the day after the wedding with a great big bar-b-que (cook out) thrown by the bridal party and parents of the bride and groom, for all of the guests.

The programs were made of two card stock sheets with print on each side.  A stick was sandwiched between the two sheets to create a fan.  It was a hot summer day and the fans were put to use.

Tyler and Cara entertained everyone with their first dance, which they choreographed themselves!

So free and so much fun!  They are beautiful together!

After dinner and sunset, the room turned into a disco and I don’t think anyone stayed seated.  This is the only wedding I have been to where everyone danced all night.

My mom has always said, “the guests are who make the party”, but in this case, I see it as the law of attraction.  The Bride and Groom attract fun people and under their guidance, no party could fail.
