Fresh Summer Berries
Just fill a bowl with your favorite berries, drizzle them with raw honey and pour either milk or cream on top!
A variation on the same ingredients is one of my favorite treats: Frozen blueberries drizzled with honey and milk. The honey freezes from touching the berries and it becomes chewy; the milk becomes sweet, slushy and purple.
Raw honey is an energy booster and is very beneficial. To learn more about raw honey read this Pure Healing Foods article. Blueberries are a good source of fiber and are high in vitamin C. Raspberries have even more fiber and vitamin C than blueberries (per cup). Both berries provide other important nutrition as well.
Cream offers a small amount of protein per serving and depending on if you believe that a human body can absorb calcium through dairy, it offers a small amount of calcium. Cream’s flavor and texture make up for any deficits in nutritional value, though!
