Start your day by boosting your immune system with this easy and refreshing breakfast!

Fresh Summer Berries

Easy-Summer-Breakfast

Just fill a bowl with your favorite berries, drizzle them with raw honey and pour either milk or cream on top!

A variation on the same ingredients is one of my favorite treats:  Frozen blueberries drizzled with honey and milk.  The honey freezes from touching the berries and it becomes chewy; the milk becomes sweet, slushy and purple.

Toppings: Local Raw Honey and Organic Cream

Raw honey is an energy booster and is very beneficial.  To learn more about raw honey read this Pure Healing Foods article.  Blueberries are a good source of fiber and are high in vitamin C.  Raspberries have even more fiber and vitamin C than blueberries (per cup).  Both berries provide other important nutrition as well.

Cream offers a small amount of protein per serving and depending on if you believe that a human body can absorb calcium through dairy, it offers a small amount of calcium.  Cream’s flavor and texture make up for any deficits in nutritional value, though!
