The other day, my husband and I were in the middle of a big, exhausting project. We were so hungry we were (he was😏) getting feisty. I had to think fast to save the day.

Puerco en Salsa Verde ~ Pork shoulder in tomatillo sauce, with pinto beans, and perfectly seasoned grilled potatoes
I quickly thought of Fonda La Catrina in Seattle’s trendy industrial neighborhood of Georgetown. I convinced him to take me by reminding him that it was handily located in the direction of our next destination. The restaurant was just what we needed to rejuvenate and restore us to our usual happy selves!
Fonda La Catrina is like a vacation without having to travel. It’s high quality, hip and has a feel good vibe.

Puerco en Salsa Verde with freshly prepared warm corn torillas

This was😊 Chiles Asados ~ Delicious roasted chiles and Mexican cheese

Mango margarita, yummy thick tortilla chips, fresh salsa, pinto beans and guacamole

Chile Relleno and ice cold Mexican beer
Hey, that sounds wonderful! I will have to visit – thanks for the tip! And what a great way to refresh – a la Mexicana! XO, Janea
